After an eventful election campaign in Rajasthan, it’s time for the citizens to dive into the assembly elections happening this Saturday. Voting hours are set from 7 am to 6 pm across 199 out of 200 constituencies, and we’ll be uncovering the results on December 3. A whopping 5,26,90,146 voters hold the key to shaping the destinies of 1,875 candidates, including 183 inspiring female contenders. Spread across 51,507 polling stations, the action is set to unfold within the assembly constituencies.

Over in Telangana, the electoral battleground wraps up with a single-phase vote on November 30. The showdown involves a three-way tussle between the ruling Bharat Rashtriya Samithi (BRS) led by K Chandrashekar Rao, the Congress, and the BJP, which jumped into the race with enthusiasm after a momentary spell of disinterest.

Chief Electoral Officer held a press conference

The voting bonanza for the Rajasthan Assembly Elections 2023 officially closed its doors at 6 pm! According to the press conference from Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Gupta, about 8.828% of the votes rolled in through the postal ballot route in Rajasthan. When we blend that with the in-person voting percentage up until 5 pm, we’re looking at a grand total of 69.06%. The democracy train has made its stop for now!

Former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje gave this reaction after the voting time ended

After the voting closed for the Rajasthan Elections 2023, former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje shared her thoughts. She expressed gratitude to the people of the state, BJP workers, and especially the new voters for participating peacefully and supporting the BJP. Raje noted that today, the folks in Rajasthan have endorsed the vision, development, and credibility of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She firmly believes that the people have embraced the BJP’s slogan and turned away from the Congress’s pitch.

She went on to claim that the people have dismissed the Congress’s empty promises and have put their trust in the BJP, a party that has kept its word. With this, she predicts an end to the darkness in Rajasthan and the winning of “Kamal”.
