Who is Guru Nanak? (Guru Nanak Bio)

Nanak Ji, the visionary behind Sikhism, came into the world on Kartik Purnima in 1469 in Talwandi, Punjab, which is now part of Pakistan and goes by the name Nankana Sahib. His parents, Kalyan Chand and Tripta, welcomed this special soul.

At the age of 16, Nanak Ji started working with Daulat Khan Lodi, and later, on September 24, 1487, he tied the knot with Mata Sulakkani. Nanak Ji went on to lay the foundations of Sikhism, leaving behind a legacy of 974 hymns.
